COVID-19-Related Tax Relief Canceled
As we know, in May 2023, the Director-General of the WHO Tedros Ghebreyesus declared an end to COVID-19 as a public health emergency and noted that it was time for most countries to start treating COVID-19 on par with other infectious diseases.
In Ukraine, the quarantine has been officially canceled since June 30th, 2023 (Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine # 651 of June 27, 2023).
Please note that for almost three years, certain "quarantine" norms of the Tax Code of Ukraine had been in effect for taxpayers. The State Tax Service of Ukraine announced on their website that from July 1, 2023 onward, the old taxation rules shall apply – i.e., the rules that were changed or suspended till the end of the quarantine are restored.
