Security and trust characterize Lifra's and Accountors' cooperation

Ensuring that more Malmö residents have a good everyday life
Lifra is a real estate and management company with housing, special properties, offices, warehouses and parking garages in Malmö. Since 1991, it has managed and developed its own and others' properties, as well as running new construction projects.
Neighborhoods in Malmö with need and opportunity for development are particularly interesting for Lifra, which puts long-term thinking at the center. The company has a strong desire to be involved in influencing the development of entire areas and contribute to more Malmö residents having a good everyday life.
From financial manager to consultant
Until 2020, Lifra managed its finances internally with a finance department responsible for reporting, bookkeeping, financial statements, accounting, and partly budgeting. But when the CFO Kristina Bengtsson was headhunted by Accountor, Lifra's CEO Anders Fransson was forced to consider how to continue moving forward. "But the solution was pretty obvious straight away.
"We wanted to continue working with Kristina because she was good, and she already knew the company. Even if she went over to Accountor, it was obvious to go with her," says Anders Fransson.
Lifra thus got to keep its primary financially responsible employee and Accountor got a new consultant and business, so it was simply a win-win for all parties.
Smooth financial cooperation thanks to the parties' long-standing relationship
Kristina Bengtsson, who previously handled a lot of tasks as finance manager regarding, for example, administration and IT, began to focus solely on Lifra's finances and accounts payable with the transition to Accountor. Today, Lifra's financial assistant handles daily tasks such as day-to-day bookkeeping.
Since Anders and Kristina have worked together for several years, they knew each other well and the collaboration could therefore run smoothly from the start. Lifra values working with Accountor, and by hiring a person who knows the business well, Lifra has saved both time and money and avoided a transition period. Anders Fransson feels that everything has worked well and describes the collaboration in two words:
"The key words for our cooperation are security and trust. We know where we stand with each other, and I know that if Kristina is ill or on vacation, everything will be fine."
