How real estate company Malmö Cityfastigheter found new growth opportunities
When the single employee at Malmö Cityfastigheter's financial departement was due to retire, it was time to look for a new one. Instead of hiring, they reached out to Accountor. This is what Emma Pålsson Hammar, finance manager at Malmö Cityfastigheter, says about the collaboration, which is characterized by security and punctuality - and an opportunity to grow.
Malmö Cityfastigheter is part of a group with 16 other companies that together own about the same number of properties. They rent out both premises to companies and homes to private individuals in central Malmö. With eight employees, they are considered a small real estate company in the industry, but with big ambitions: to preserve Malmö's cultural heritage.
"When my finance colleague was about to retire about a year ago, she recommended Anna Rosengren at Accountor, with whom she had worked before," says Emma Pålsson Hammar, finance manager at Malmö Cityfastigheter.

No sooner said than done, since 2021 Emma and Malmö Cityfastigheter have received help from Accountor with their tax calculations, consolidated accounts, and tax returns.
- I appreciate Accountor's punctuality - that they always deliver on time. The communication is clear and straightforward, which makes it easier when there is a lot to be done in a short time, says Emma.
Emma and Anna can be contacted by email or phone if they have any questions, otherwise most of the contact is in connection with specific deadlines during the year. Either it is documentation that Emma has to send over, or it has to be synchronized before the audit.

"Now that I'm the only accountant in the company, it's nice to know that I don't have to keep up with all the news and changes myself. I know that Accountor works with many different customers and always keeps up to date with the industry", says Emma.
However, Emma thinks the best thing about the collaboration is the people at Accountor. It's the people who make it. And above all Anna.
"Anna is very competent and friendly - yes, she is a real rock! She always gives concrete and clear answers. I have great confidence in her, and she is a person I trust", says Emma.
