A quick assignment that led to long-term cooperation between NEP Sweden and Accountor
HDR Sweden, which was acquired by NEP Sweden in 2019, hired Accountor in the fall of 2017. This was in connection with a Nordic expansion plan for the company and a growth adjustment of the finance department. It was an assignment that was solved quickly and both parties were so satisfied with the solution that they decided to establish a permanent collaboration.
Mathias Hasselrot, CFO at NEP Sweden, tells us more about how Accountor helps them and how the collaboration looks today.
NEP is a leader in television production in the Nordic region and has a wide range of services in OB broadcasts and studio productions. NEP Sweden is part of the worldwide NEP Group with over 4,000 employees, a provider of production services in 88 countries and 7 continents.
Why Accountor?
Mathias already had contacts who worked with Accountor. After hiring a small local accounting firm, they wanted an established provider of financial services in the Nordic region. They chose Accountor on recommendation.
"We were looking for a comprehensive solution for the financial function where we could also hire special expertise when needed and we are happy that the choice landed on Accountor. It works really well," says Mathias.

Accountor delivers a full-service solution for all daily financial operations at NEP, including reconciled legal monthly accounts, tax returns, annual reports, and payroll administration for all Swedish companies in the group.
"We have almost daily contact regarding the day-to-day financial operations and monthly reconciliations of the delivery from Accountor. Thanks to close contact between the account manager at Accountor and me as CFO, we can maintain high quality in the delivery" explains Mathias.

Mathias says that it is the people in the Accountor team that make the difference. The team has shown good proactivity around the services, especially during COVID-19, where information and support have been offered frequently. This is something Mathias really appreciated.
